Happy New Year 2020- Part 2

Here’s some stuff I didn’t have when I put yesterday’s post together. I could save it until next New Year’s, but if the presidential election goes sideways, I might be in the hills with the Resistance. But more likely I’d be cowering in the tub, all cognitive functions fried, so why take a chance?

  1. Anthony V Pfannkuche, PhD says:

Great, but you’ve paid insufficient attention to “Clemency” and especially the performance of Alfre Woodard. It will be malpractice if she is overlooked by the Academy.

  2. Ted Hicks says:

The films I listed in the first part of this Happy New Year post will be released in January and later. “Clemency” opened here on December 27. We saw it last March in the New Directors/New Films series at Lincoln Center. You’re right, Woodard is amazing. It will be on my best features of 2019 when I start working on that. Also liked Wendell Pierce as her husband. Small part, but he’s always good.

  3. David M Fromm says:

    FUN!

  4. Melanie says:

    Especially enjoyed the Stooges!
